Simplified Shrimp Boil Delight

This easy-to-prepare shrimp boil captures all the savory goodness of potatoes, corn, and shrimp combined with the smoky flavor of andouille sausage. The ingredients are generously seasoned with Old Bay and garlic-infused melted butter, then roasted on a single sheet pan to create a meal that’s both tasty and trouble-free.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
  • 3 ears of corn, each cut into 5 pieces
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 16 oz smoked andouille sausage, sliced
  • 1 lb large shrimp, raw, tail on
  • 2 lemons, each cut into wedges

Instructions:

Preheat and Prepare Ingredients:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Cook the halved baby potatoes for 10 minutes. Add the pieces of corn to the pot and continue to boil for an additional 5 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

Drain and Mix:

Drain the potatoes and corn and transfer them to a large mixing bowl.

Add the cleaned and dried shrimp and sliced sausage to the bowl.

Season:

In a smaller bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic and Old Bay seasoning.

Pour this mixture over the shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage in the large bowl. Toss everything together to ensure it’s all evenly coated with the seasoning.

Bake:

Spread the mixture out on a large baking sheet in a single layer.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and fully cooked.

Serve:

Serve hot directly from the sheet pan with wedges of lemon on the side for squeezing over the top.

Variations and Notes

  • Vegetable Variations: Add bell peppers or onions to the mix for added flavor and color.
  • Spice Level: For a spicier kick, sprinkle some cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper flakes into the butter mixture.
  • Serving Suggestion: For a heartier meal, serve this shrimp boil over a bed of cooked rice or alongside a crusty loaf of bread to soak up the flavorful juices.

This Sheet Pan Shrimp Boil is a delightful, no-hassle meal that brings the essence of a festive seafood feast to your dinner table any night of the week. It’s packed with flavor, easy to make, and even easier to clean up, making it a perfect choice for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.
