Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding is a heartwarming and comforting dessert that turns simple ingredients into a decadent treat. This classic dessert blends the warm, spicy flavor of cinnamon with the sweet bursts of raisins for a delicious experience. It’s perfect for cozy evenings or as a sweet ending to a family meal. The combination of creamy custard and soft, spiced bread makes this pudding not only irresistible but also a delightful way to use up leftover bread.

Ingredients:

6 cups of cinnamon raisin bread, cut into cubes (approximately 8-10 slices)

4 large eggs

2 cups of milk

1 cup of heavy cream

3/4 cup of granulated sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

1/2 cup of raisins

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

Spread the cubed cinnamon raisin bread evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Whisk these ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.

Carefully pour this custard mixture over the bread cubes in the dish, ensuring all pieces are evenly moistened. Scatter the raisins over the mixture.

Allow the bread to soak in the custard for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors thoroughly.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes, or until the pudding is firm to the touch and golden brown on top.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. This bread pudding can be enjoyed warm, topped with a drizzle of maple syrup, whipped cream, or a scoop of ice cream for extra indulgence.
