Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 1.5 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 0.5 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 cans petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook for 3 minutes less than package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet over high heat. Add ground beef and chopped onion. Cook for 6-7 minutes until beef is browned and onions are translucent. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.
  • Add Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Add cooked macaroni to the skillet, stirring to coat with sauce. Mix in shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  • Transfer to a greased baking dish if the skillet is not oven-safe. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and cheese is golden.
  • Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve hot.
