Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups shredded boiled chicken breast
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • cup finely chopped bell pepper any color
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the 6 tablespoons of butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish and let it melt in the oven as it heats up.
  • Layer the Chicken and Vegetables: Once the butter has melted, remove the baking dish from the oven. Evenly spread the shredded chicken over the melted butter. Scatter the chopped onions and bell peppers over the chicken. Sprinkle with poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Make the Dumpling Batter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the Bisquick mix, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth. Pour the batter evenly over the chicken and vegetables in the baking dish.
  • Prepare the Sauce: In another bowl, mix together the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup until well combined. Carefully pour this mixture over the batter, allowing it to seep into the casserole.
  • Bake the Casserole: Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
  • Cool and Serve: Let the casserole cool slightly before serving to allow it to set. Serve warm and enjoy!
