Hamburger Pie

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs ground beef chuck
4 lg potatoes, peeled and cubed
to make smashed potatoes
1 cup milk
1/2 stick butter
1 15 oz can tomato soup
1 15 oz can green beans, drained

Instructions:

Sprinkle the top of the ground beef while it is cooking with season salt lemon pepper & S & P to taste
In a 10 inch cast iron skillet, cook the beef adding the lemon pepper, season salt, and pepper breaking up the beef into crumbly pieces. Do not drain the juices unless you want to.
Meanwhile, cook the potatoes until tender. Drain and make the smashed potatoes your way, adding the butter and milk. Salt and pepper as desired. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Add the tomato soup and green beans into the beef mixture. Let simmer on medium-low heat for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Top the ground beef chuck with the smashed potatoes. Top with pepper if desired.
Bake for 20-30 minutes or until the edges of the potatoes are turning golden brown.
