Ingredients

Pourable Crust:

  • 2⅔ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup powdered milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet 2¼ teaspoons quick-rise yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1⅔ cups warm water 105-110°F
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Toppings:

  • ½ pound ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 8-ounce block mozzarella cheese, shredded

Tomato Sauce:

  • 1 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1 cup water
  • cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon dried oregano
  • ½ tablespoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary crushed

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

  • Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray and line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together flour, powdered milk, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine warm water and vegetable oil. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to the prepared baking pan, pressing it out evenly with your fingers. If the dough is resistant, let it rest for a few minutes before continuing.
  • Pre-bake the crust for 8-10 minutes until it starts to set but is not yet browned. Remove from the oven and set aside.

Prepare the Toppings:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbled. Season with salt and pepper, then drain any excess fat.
  • In a saucepan, combine tomato paste, water, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and rosemary. Cook over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 20-30 minutes.

Assemble the Pizza:

  • Spread the prepared tomato sauce evenly over the pre-baked crust.
  • Sprinkle the cooked ground beef over the sauce, followed by an even layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Final Bake:

  • Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.

Serve:

  • Allow the pizza to cool for 5 minutes before slicing into squares.
  • Serve warm and enjoy the nostalgic flavors!
