Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage breakfast, Italian, or other
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheese of your choice cheddar, mozzarella, etc.
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it into small crumbles. Let it cool slightly.
  • Mix the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent dough on a clean surface. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create 32 smaller triangles.
  • Fill the Crescents: Place a tablespoon of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the dough, tucking in the sides as you go.
  • Bake: Arrange the filled crescents on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm on their own or with a dipping sauce.

Notes

Experiment with different types of sausage or cheese to change the flavor profile. For a vegetarian version, use plant-based sausage or sautéed vegetables.
