Ingredients
1lblean ground beef(at least 80%)
1largeonionchopped (1 cup)
1/2teaspoonsalt
1cupshredded Cheddar cheese(4 oz)
1/2cupOriginal Bisquick™ mix
1cupmilk
2eggs
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Lightly grease a 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
In a 10-inch skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat for 8-10 minutes until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat and season with salt.
Spread the beef and onion mixture evenly in the pie plate. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese on top.
In a small bowl, mix the Bisquick™ mix, milk, and eggs until smooth. Pour the batter over the beef and cheese mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool slightly before serving.
Slice into wedges and serve warm.
Notes
For a spicier version, add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture before baking.
