Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef (at least 80%)
  • 1 large onion chopped (1 cup)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
  • In a 10-inch skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat for 8-10 minutes until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat and season with salt.
  • Spread the beef and onion mixture evenly in the pie plate. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese on top.
  • In a small bowl, mix the Bisquick™ mix, milk, and eggs until smooth. Pour the batter over the beef and cheese mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool slightly before serving.
  • Slice into wedges and serve warm.

Notes

For a spicier version, add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture before baking.
