Instructions
Line a 9x9-inch or 9x13-inch pan with foil, leaving overhang for handles. Grease with 1 tablespoon of butter.
In a large pot, melt the remaining 5 tablespoons of butter over medium-low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until nearly melted. Remove from heat.
Stir in 2/3 cup peanut butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth and combined.
Fold in Rice Krispies cereal, ensuring all are coated. Mix in mini peanut butter cups.
Transfer mixture to the prepared pan and gently press into an even layer.
Combine chocolate chips and 3/4 cup peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in intervals, stirring until smooth.
Pour melted chocolate mixture over the Rice Krispie layer and spread evenly.
Allow to cool at room temperature or refrigerate until firm. Use foil handles to lift treats from the pan.
Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
For extra crunch, add chopped peanuts or swap mini peanut butter cups for M&M's.
