No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars are the perfect treat for hot summer days or whenever you crave something sweet without the need for baking. These bars combine the wholesome chewiness of oats with a rich, creamy chocolate layer, topped with a hint of peanut butter. Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup peanut butter

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Pan: Grease a 9×9 inch square pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Cook the Oat Mixture: In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar and vanilla extract until well combined. Add the oats and cook over low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Form the Base Layer: Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan, spreading evenly and pressing down firmly.
  • Prepare the Chocolate Layer: In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Add the Chocolate Layer: Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the oat crust and spread evenly.
  • Add the Topping: Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the chocolate layer and gently press it down.
  • Set the Bars: Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until set. Bring to room temperature before cutting into bars.

Notes

For a nut-free version, substitute peanut butter with sunflower seed butter.
