Ingredients

  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 12 pieces 6-inch tortillas

Instructions

  • Crumble ground beef into a skillet and cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  • Add taco seasoning to the beef following the packet instructions, usually by adding seasoning and water, then simmer until thickened. Stir well.
  • In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add salsa and blend well.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • On each tortilla, spread the cream cheese mixture in the center, add seasoned beef, and top with shredded Cheddar cheese. Fold sides in and roll up the tortilla.
  • Place tortillas seam-side down on a greased baking tray. Brush tops with melted butter and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Top with lettuce, extra salsa, sour cream, olives, or cheese. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier version, add chopped jalapeños to the filling or use a hot salsa.
