Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops approximately 3/4-inch thick
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Fresh parsley finely chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Generously season both sides of the pork chops with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 7-8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and an internal temperature of 145°F is reached. Remove from the pan and set aside, keeping them warm.
  • Lower the heat to medium and sauté garlic in the same pan for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
  • Return the pork chops to the pan and spoon the sauce over them. Simmer for an additional minute, until the sauce thickens into a glaze.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with your choice of sides.

Notes

For a spicier variation, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
