Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (whole milk for creaminess; 2% works too)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (Neufchâtel is a lighter swap)
  • 3 tbsp pure honey or maple syrup (adjust sweetness to taste)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract (Madagascar vanilla recommended)
  • Zest of 1 lemon or orange (fresh for brightness)
  • Pinch of kosher salt (balances the sweet)
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • Fresh fruit for dipping: berries, apple slices, pineapple chunks, etc.

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese with a hand mixer until completely smooth.
  • Add Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla; mix on low, then medium, until silky.
  • Stir in citrus zest and a pinch of salt; taste and add powdered sugar if you like it extra sweet.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes—this step makes it extra dreamy (overnight chill deepens the flavor).
  • Transfer dip to a pretty bowl, sprinkle zest on top, and surround it with colorful fruit slices.
  • until ready—dip stays fresh up to 3 days.

Notes

I learned that starting with very soft cream cheese makes all the difference—no gritty bits! If you prefer a tangier dip, swap half the Greek yogurt for sour cream. For a lighter touch, cut honey back to 2 tbsp and boost zest by ½ tsp. Also, chilling longer gives a firmer texture and deeper flavor; I usually make mine a day ahead.
