  • tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 3-ounce box strawberry Jello
  • ½ cup water
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberry puree from fresh or frozen berries

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, room temperature
  • ½ cup butter 1 stick, room temperature
  • 1 cup strawberry puree
  • 4-5 cups powdered sugar

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Batter:

  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray, then dust with flour.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, all-purpose flour, and strawberry Jello powder. Sift to ensure everything is well combined.
  • Add the water, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and strawberry puree to the dry mixture. Mix until smooth using a stand mixer or hand mixer on medium speed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Bake the Cake:

  • Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before frosting.

Prepare the Frosting:

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually add the strawberry puree, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Slowly add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed until the frosting reaches your desired consistency. If too thick, add a little milk, one tablespoon at a time.
  • Refrigerate the frosting until ready to use.

Frost the Cake:
