Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter softened (Land O’Lakes)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract pure
  • cups all-purpose flour (King Arthur)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt fine
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup red and green M&Ms holiday edition
  • ½ cup pecans or walnuts chopped, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 pan with parchment, then grease lightly.
  • Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until pale and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
  • Mix in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Slowly add dry mix to wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in white chocolate chips, M&Ms, and nuts if using.
  • Spread dough evenly in the prepared pan, pressing down with a spatula or fingertips.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are golden and center looks set.
  • Let cool in pan for 60 minutes, then lift out using parchment and cut into 24 bars.

Notes

For an extra minty kick, stir in ½ cup crushed candy cane pieces. Leftovers freeze beautifully for up to 2 months.
