Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup cooked diced or shredded chicken breast
  • 1/2 cup cooked chopped bacon
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions optional
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • All-purpose flour for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it with olive oil.
  • Dust the Surface: Lightly dust your work surface with all-purpose flour, then roll the pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Spread the Ranch Dressing: Evenly spread the ranch dressing over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Layer the Chicken and Bacon: Distribute the diced or shredded chicken and chopped bacon evenly over the ranch dressing.
  • Add Cheese and Green Onions: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the chicken and bacon, then add chopped green onions if using.
  • Roll the Dough: Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a log, keeping the filling inside and the roll tight.
  • Seal the Edges: Pinch the seams and ends of the dough to seal the stromboli, then place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush with Olive Oil: Lightly brush the top of the stromboli with olive oil, then sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over it.
  • Cut Slits for Steam: Use a sharp knife to cut a few small slits in the top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape.
  • Bake: Bake the stromboli for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Rest and Slice: Let the stromboli rest for a few minutes after baking, then slice it into thick pieces and serve warm.
