Cherry Cheesecake Lush

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package golden Oreos 14 oz, crushed
  • 1/3 cup salted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp butter for preparing the pan
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 16 oz frozen whipped topping thawed, divided use
  • 2 small boxes cheesecake flavored instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 2 large cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Crush Oreos in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Add melted butter and pulse until combined. Press the mixture into the dish to form a crust. Freeze for 10 minutes.
  • Beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and 1 cup of whipped topping until smooth. Spread over the crust and freeze for another 10 minutes.
  • Whisk pudding mix with milk and 1/2 cup whipped topping until thickened (2-3 minutes). Spread over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Pour cherry pie filling over the pudding layer. Spread evenly with a spoon.
  • Spread remaining whipped topping over cherries. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours to set.
  • Slice into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy the distinct layers and delightful flavors!

Notes

Substitute the cherry pie filling with blueberry or strawberry for a different flavor.
