Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise full-fat
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 4 oz blue cheese crumbled
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Stir in lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the blue cheese crumbles and chopped parsley to the mixture.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, and cayenne to taste. Adjust consistency if needed with buttermilk for sharpness or salt for mildness.
  • Cover the container and chill for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

Notes

Choose a slightly aged blue cheese for more flavor complexity. Let blue cheese sit at room temperature for easier crumbling. For extra tang, substitute 2 tbsp buttermilk with 2 tbsp white wine vinegar.
