Ingredients

  • 4 cups Bisquick baking mix: The base for the biscuits.
  • 1 cup sour cream: Adds moisture and a slight tang.
  • 1 cup 7-Up: Acts as a leavening agent.
  • 1/2 cup melted butter: Adds richness and flavor.

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix the Bisquick baking mix with the sour cream until well combined. Gradually add the 7-Up to create a soft dough.
  • Lightly flour a surface with some additional Bisquick mix. Knead the dough gently, folding it a few times until it is well-coated. Pat the dough out to a thickness of about 1 inch.
  • Use a round biscuit cutter or a cookie cutter to cut the dough into biscuit shapes.
  • Melt the butter and pour it into the bottom of a cookie sheet or a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  • Place the biscuits on top of the melted butter in the pan. Bake at 425°F for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  • Serve the biscuits warm, ideally with a pat of butter or your favorite spread.

Notes

  • Variations: Add cheese, herbs, or garlic for different flavor profiles.
  • Substitutions: Use gluten-free baking mix for gluten-free biscuits or dairy-free alternatives for a dairy-free version.
  • Soda Alternatives: Substitute 7-Up with Sprite, club soda, or flavored sparkling water.
