Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 ½ teaspoons lemon juice or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce Sriracha recommended
  • 4 teaspoons minced garlic about 4 cloves
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 3-4 tablespoons butter cut into small cubes (or margarine)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or cilantro
  • 450 grams medium-thick asparagus woody ends trimmed

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare Foil Sheets:

  • Cut two 14x12-inch sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • In a small bowl, mix broth, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Add minced garlic and butter cubes.

Assemble the Foil Packets:

  • Pat salmon fillets dry, season with salt and pepper, and place on the foil. Arrange asparagus beside the salmon. Drizzle garlic butter sauce over both.

Seal and Bake:

  • Fold the foil to seal the packets, leaving space inside for heat circulation. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 9-12 minutes.

Finish and Serve:

  • Carefully unwrap the foil packets. Drizzle with more lemon juice, garnish with parsley or cilantro, and serve.
