  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika or regular paprika
  • pinch red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/2 lemon Juice optional
  • Shaved Parmesan or nutritional yeast optional, as a finishing touch

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3–5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, toss halved sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Place the sprouts in a single layer, cut-side down if possible.
  • Cook for 12 minutes, then shake the basket or flip sprouts. Roast for another 2–4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove sprouts and toss with lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan or nutritional yeast.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pat sprouts dry after rinsing to avoid steaming. Ensure each piece has space in the air fryer for even cooking.
