How to remove the dark circle around the taps

You will surely have noticed that a dark circular stain forms around the sink tap , which is difficult to remove and gives the sink an old and dirty appearance.

The cause of these stains is limestone , which is deposited by the water and on which soap and dirt residues are deposited which end up staining it and creating those annoying black marks.

The effect is really bad and sometimes you may have difficulty removing the stain with simple cleaning products.

If you want to avoid using bleach (wise decision!) we suggest some effective tricks to eliminate dark stains around taps naturally and without exposing our health to risk.

Cloth makeup . This method, which is the simplest and fastest, consists of passing a cloth soaked in vinegar over the stain. This ingredient, in fact, is a natural deoxidizer that removes the yellow or black stain by thoroughly polishing and disinfecting. If the stain doesn’t come out, apply vinegar directly to it and wipe about 30 minutes later.

Lemon . This citrus fruit also has disinfectant and lightening properties, which help eliminate stains. Rub half a lemon directly on the dark stain, leave to act for a few minutes then clean with a cloth. Repeat if the stain doesn’t come out.

Borax . It is one of the most powerful ingredients for removing stains on almost all bathroom surfaces. Apply borax directly to the stain, then pour vinegar over it. After 20 minutes, scrub with a sponge, then rinse with water and dry well. Wear gloves and a mask while applying borax.
